The Subaru

Today we sold the Subaru. I was given the 2002 Forester when I graduated in 2001. A very generous gift from my Dad and Step-Mom. It took me through grad school, trips all over the West coast, dating, marriage, and a baby. A 110,000 miles later I am moving on…with a little cash to boot! Thanks Parents for a great gift.

Me and the family are now a Ford family at the moment…which I never thought I would be in a million years. So far so good. Next year we will look into a new family car. I know it sounds silly, but I am so happy that a very nice couple bought the car…I even hugged them because I knew it would be loved. Good-bye little car!

  1. Dear Subaru,
I’ll miss the way you try to kill me with your overpowering heat. I know that was really you and not Johanna–it’ll never happen in the Explorer. I’ll miss getting a Listerine strip caught in my throat while sitting in the back seat. Mostly, I’ll miss prematurely opening the door before Johanna has unlocked you. May you bring good times to a nice new family, but always remember your roots.

    Fondly,
    Lisa
